FOR the fourth year in a row the De Krans Pinotage Rosé has been awarded a prestigious double gold medal at the 2021 Rosé Rocks Competition. The award was bestowed on the 2021 vintage.
This competition is the first in South Africa entirely dedicated to Rosé.
The Pinotage Rosé was also awarded gold at the ninth annual Vitis Vinifera Awards, which took place in early September.
De Krans Wines at these awards also took home double gold for the Basket Press Cabernet Sauvignon 2020, double gold for the Garden Route Sauvignon Blanc 2021 and gold for the Twist of Fate 2019.
The Vitis Vinifera Awards was established to recognise high-quality wines and grape derived spirits that are available to consumers. Their aim is to identify and award the very best.
“After what can only be described as a challenging year for us, these recent accolades gives us the motivation to keep on producing world-class wines, and we couldn’t be happier,” says co-owner Boets Nel.
